Sushi Samba — West Hollywood
An operable open-air roof and interior shade facade for Sushi Samba’s second U.S. location — dining that transitions seamlessly from enclosed to open sky.
In collaboration with ClickClad, Sunset Park Construction completed the interior shade facade and signature retractable roof system at Sushi Samba’s West Hollywood location — the restaurant’s second in the United States.
Known for its Brazilian and Japanese fusion, the restaurant’s defining feature is a fully operable open-air roof. The system transforms the dining room in minutes — enclosed and intimate one moment, open to the West Hollywood sky the next.
Specialty execution at this level leaves no room for approximation: the operable roof and interior shade facade had to perform mechanically, read cleanly as architecture, and hold up to daily hospitality use.
